Requirements:

• You must have twelve (12) semester hours of credit in one foreign language.


• You must have six (6) credit hours of earned "A" in that language granted by BSU.


• You must have a 3.0 GPA for all foreign language courses.


• You must have at least a 3.0 overall GPA.


• You must be willing to:
  • Tutor students who ask for help
  • Attend meetings
  • Help organize and attend Harvestfest

The initiation fee for Alpha Mu Gamma is $25.00 and must be paid when you submit your application. This fee entitles you to lifetime membership in both the national organization and the local chapter if your cumulative GPA does not drop below the 3.0 level.

If you expect to have meet the qualifications outlined above by the end of the current academic year and you wish to be initiated this year, please pick up an application form from Betty Simpson in the Department of Modern Languages and Classics -- NQ 138.

An Induction ceremony is held once at the end of every academic year; however, you are required to attend AMG meetings and participate in activities even before you are officially initiated.
